Exciting news emerged from the MAPPA Stage 2023 event held on Sunday, as fans were treated to a captivating visual for the highly anticipated second half of Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 (Shingeki no Kyojin The Final Season Kanketsu-hen) anime. The wait won’t be too long, as the second half is set to premiere this fall.

Previously, the first half of the season aired as a special one-hour episode on March 3 (which effectively aired on March 4 in Japan). Crunchyroll streamed the first half under the title Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 1, while Hulu also made it available for streaming. Fans will be thrilled to know that SIM returns to perform the new opening theme song titled “Under the Tree.”

The gripping Attack on Titan The Final Season initially premiered on NHK in December 2020, captivating viewers with its 16 intense episodes. Funimation and Crunchyroll simultaneously streamed the anime with English subtitles. Additionally, the anime made its way to Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block in January 2021, accompanied by Funimation’s English dub release.
In January 2022, the highly anticipated Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 began with episode 76 on the NHK General channel. The second part consisted of 12 thrilling episodes, which were simultaneously streamed by Crunchyroll and Funimation alongside the Japanese broadcast.
