The Japanese Police Reported an Unemployed Man (30) Got Arrested for Stealing Manga “Chainsaw Man” From a Bookstore in Kakogawa City.

Hyogo Prefectural Police Kakogawa Station arrested an unemployed man (30) on suspicion of stealing 13 comic books of the popular manga “Chainsaw Man” on Feb 27th.

The Police Say, The Man was arrested on suspicion of stealing 13 comic books (6,336 yen) at a bookstore in Kakogawa City after 7:00 pm on the 18th. The Man Admitted, “I stole and sold it to pay for my living expenses.”

According to the police, the security buzzer at the bookstore responded, so when the store clerk checked the security camera, the man put the comic book in an eco-friendly bag and left the store.
After that, the man was selling comic books at a used bookstore in the city. The man was arrested after he returned to the second-hand bookstore with another book on Feb 27th.
