Uoto’s Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite Manga Gets Anime Adaptation By Madhouse. The serialization started in 2020 at the weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) and reached its final chapter in April this year.

The weekly Big Comic Spirits No. 30 (Shogakukan) released today June 27th featured illustrations and comments drawn by Uoto. Uoto said, “I’m very happy. I remember passing by the Madhouse every week when I went to my friend’s house in Nakano a few years ago. At that time, I dreamed that I could animate it there. I didn’t think about it. I’m deeply moved. I’m looking forward to it. ”
The final eight volumes of the book will be released on June 30th. Uoto was selected for numerous manga awards, including the 2nd place in the “Manga Award 2021”, the 2nd place in the “This Manga is Amazing! 2022” man edition, and the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Manga Award.

The setting is 15th century Poland. It was a time when heretical ideas led those who possessed such a mindset to be burned at the stake for their beliefs. Rafal, a child prodigy, is expected to major in theology, the most important subject at the time, at the university. One day, however, he comes across a mysterious man, and is now studying a possible “truth” in the midst of heretical thought!
