At the AnimeJapan 2023 event on Saturday, the staff for the third season of Dr. Stone, titled Dr. Stone: New World, unveiled the anime’s main visual and the ending theme song “Where Do We Go?” by OKAMOTO’S. The event also announced that the Dr. Stone The Stage: Science World stage play will be returning for a rerun in September.

The anime is set to premiere in Japan on April 6 at 10:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. EDT) and will run for two cours, split into different broadcast seasons. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan and will also stream an English dub starting on April 20. The opening song “Wasure Gataki” will be performed by Huwie Ishizaki.
The first season of Dr. Stone aired in July 2019, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired and Funimation streaming a dub. The anime also premiered on Toonami in August 2019. The second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, premiered in January 2021, with Crunchyroll streaming the series worldwide except in Asia, and Funimation streaming an English dub. The anime debuted on Toonami in May 2021. Additionally, a one-hour anime special titled Dr. Stone: Ryusui aired on July 10.
The manga, created by Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock) and Riichirou Inagaki (author of Eyeshield 21), debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017 and concluded in March 2022 with its 26th and final volume shipping in July 2022. Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally and in print, and MANGA Plus is also publishing the manga digitally in English. A fanbook was released in Japan in August 2022.
