For the first opening theme song of the second season, Takanori Nishikawa will be performing “Never say Never,” while ASCA will perform the ending theme song titled “Rinne” (Reincarnation Cycle). The second season of Edens Zero began airing on April 1 on NTV and its affiliates, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime as it airs.
Mediatoon Distribution from France has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the second season.
The first season of Edens Zero debuted in Japan in April 2021, consisting of 25 episodes. Later in August 2021, the show became available for streaming on Netflix internationally.
The chief director for the first season was Shinji Ishihara, known for his work on Fairy Tail and Log Horizon, while Yūshi Suzuki, who had previously served as an episode director for Fairy Tail season 3, directed the season. Unfortunately, Suzuki passed away on September 9, 2021. Mitsutaka Hirota, known for projects like Zoids Wild and Rent-A-Girlfriend, supervised and wrote the series scripts, and Yurika Sako, who contributed to the key animation of Food Wars! The Third Plate, handled the character designs for animation.
Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail and Rave Master, began serializing the Edens Zero manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in June 2018. The English version of the manga is published both digitally and in print by Kodansha USA Publishing.
The popularity of the manga has led to the development of two video games based on the series. One is a 3D action RPG for consoles, while the other is a top-down RPG designed for mobile devices. Konami is responsible for the development of these games.
