On Saturday, the staff of the second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime unveiled a new promotional video, visual, director, cast members, and premiere date for the upcoming season.

Shōta Goshozono is replacing Sunghoo Park as the director, while Anna Nagase and Takehito Koyasu are joining the cast as Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro, respectively. The anime will air on July 6 on MBS and TBS and 28 affiliated channels, and will run for two cours, adapting both the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” arc and the “Shibuya Incident” arc.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime first premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside of Asia and also provided dubbed versions in various languages. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime film opened in Japan in December 2021 and was released in the U.S. and Canada with English subtitles and dub on March 18.
Gege Akutami created the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. Viz Media simultaneously published the first three chapters in English as part of its Jump Start initiative. Shueisha also publishes the manga digitally on its MANGA Plus service.
Additionally, a Jujutsu Kaisen smartphone role-playing game called Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will be released in the spring of 2023.
