As the premiere date of July 6 approaches, JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 TV anime has unveiled new character designs that have fans buzzing with excitement. The designs showcase a young Kento Nanami, as well as Utahime, Mei Mei, and Haibara. Along with the character reveals, the first trailer has been released, revealing a distinct change in animation style under the direction of Shota Goshozono, taking over from Sunghoo Park. MAPPA, known for their exceptional animation, will once again be handling the animation for the series, which is set to run for 2 consecutive cours.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime first premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside of Asia and also provided dubbed versions in various languages. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime film opened in Japan in December 2021 and was released in the U.S. and Canada with English subtitles and dub on March 18.

Gege Akutami created the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018. Viz Media simultaneously published the first three chapters in English as part of its Jump Start initiative. Shueisha also publishes the manga digitally on its MANGA Plus service. Additionally, a Jujutsu Kaisen smartphone role-playing game called Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will be released in the spring of 2023.
