An upcoming original anime titled Metallic Rouge is in the works, with Studio BONES taking charge of the production. The anime is scheduled to debut in January 2024 and a teaser trailer, along with a visual, has been unveiled as part of the announcement.

Metallic Rouge is described as a “tech-noir sci-fi series” on the project’s official website, where humans and artificial intelligence beings coexist.

The Main Staff
Motonobu Hori, known for directing Carole & Tuesday and Super Crooks, is at the helm of the series as a director. Yutaka Izubuchi serves as the chief supervisor and is also responsible for the series composition. Character designs are by Toshihiro Kawamoto, while Taisei Iwasaki is composing the music.
Studio Bones Original Anime Work
Studio Bones has a history of producing original anime series, with notable titles such as Hiwou War Chronicles (2000), Wolf’s Rain (2004), Eureka Seven (2005), Ghost Slayers Ayashi (2006), Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (2009), and Space Dandy (2014) under their belt. In recent years, the studio has continued to produce critically acclaimed original anime works, including Carole & Tuesday (2019), SK8 the Infinity (2021), and Godzilla Singular Point (2021).
