Eiichiro Oda’s “ONE PIECE” has been announced to be on Hiatus. The Hiatus is 4 weeks from Weekly Shonen Jump No. 30 (Shueisha) released on June 27, and the resume is scheduled for No. 34 released on July 25.

The author, Eiichiro Oda, reported in a handwritten comment with an illustration, “Let’s take a Break!”. The reason for the Break is that the 25th anniversary of the serialization and the movie release is coming up, so as a preparation period for this excitement, “I want to reorganize the final chapter so that it can be closed as soon as possible” “4 weeks! Time to prepare to breathe Please!”. He plans to go to Africa to oversee the filming of the live-action Netflix series but unfortunately due to the pandemic, he is unable to go to Africa.

In 2019, Oda announced that the story would be “finished in five years”, and when the 1000th episode was serialized in January last year, “Adventure is here and I’m putting one foot in the final chapter.” When the 100th volume of the comic was released in September, he said, “The story is at the end.”
