On Saturday, the official website for the TV anime adaptation of Maybe’s manga series Tales of Wedding Rings (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) released a teaser video and visual. The video revealed new cast members and announced that the anime will premiere in 2024.

Story
In this romantic comedy from Maybe, Sato finds himself transported to a fantasy world when his childhood friend Hime suddenly leaves. In this new world, Sato marries Hime and becomes the legendary hero known as the Ring King. Get ready for an out-of-this-world, newly-wed romantic adventure!
The anime is being directed by Takashi Naoya (known for Real Girl), with the production handled by Staple Entertainment. Deko Akao (responsible for After the Rain) is leading the team of writers for the series, while Saori Nakashiki (who worked on The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) is in charge of character design.
The manga was first launched in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine in March 2014 by the creator duo Maybe. The 13th volume was published by Square Enix on January 25, and Yen Press has been publishing the manga in print in English, with the 12th volume set to release on August 22. In January 2021, the 10th compiled volume hinted that the manga would conclude soon. Later in July 2021, Square Enix teased that the manga was reaching its climax in August of the same year.
Maybe’s Dusk Maiden of Amnesia manga was adapted into a television anime in 2012. The manga is now complete. Another manga by Maybe, To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts (Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e), was also adapted into a television anime in July 2019. The English version of the manga is being published by Kodansha USA Publishing.
