Story

Upon awakening from her slumber, the shut-in vampire Terakomari, or Komari, discovers that she has been unexpectedly promoted to the position of commander in the army. However, her new squad has a reputation for being fiercely rebellious and uncontrollable. Despite being born into a prestigious vampire family, Komari’s aversion to blood has made her appear weak and unskilled, lacking in both physical coordination and magical ability. Facing daunting obstacles, can Komari rely on the support of her loyal maid to guide her through the challenges and bumble her way to victory?

The first volume of Kobayashi’s light novel, which includes illustrations by Riichu, was published in January 2020, and the 10th volume was released on January 25. Subsequently, Riichu, the original artist, launched a manga adaptation in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine in December 2021, with the second volume published by Square Enix on January 25.
